BOOSTING TRADE WITH ALL 54 NATIONS OF THE AFRICAN CONTINENT

Our mutual trade with the African continent has seen a remarkable fivefold increase in the past 20 years, reaching $31.7 billion in 2023 and continuing this upward trend into 2024. During the January-May period of 2024, bilateral trade volumes increased by 9.6% compared to the same period last year, amounting to $13.6 billion (Data from the Ministry of Trade of Turkey).

In collaboration with official representatives from African countries, we are organizing Export Gateway to Africa & Summit from October 31 to November 2, 2024, at Istanbul Pullman Hotel & Convention Center.

Discussions are underway to secure participation from official institutions representing the 54 countries of the African continent, which hold significant importance for Turkiye. Negotiations are ongoing to bring hosted buyers from these countries to Export Gateway to Africa & Summit in Istanbul from October 31 to November 2, 2024. Agreements have already been reached with Kenya, Benin, Nigeria, South Africa, Senegal, Egypt and Sudan. Hosted Buyers from Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Seychelles have already booked their tickets and made reservations.

In addition to official delegations, numerous agencies are actively engaged in preparations. Negotiations with trade delegations from prominent economic unions across Africa continue, including the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA), Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Community of Sahel–Saharan States (CEN–SAD), East African Community (EAC), Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and Southern African Development Community (SADC)

During Export Gateway to Africa, B2B meetings will be scheduled to ensure the satisfaction of both our exhibitors and visitors. To enhance visibility, we have initiated a partnership with NRT TV, broadcast in 48 African countries via to effectively convey our message to the entire buyer audience.

Hosted Buyer delegations and visitors from Africa will receive complimentary accommodation for two days, lunch for three days, and daily coffee breaks courtesy of our team.

The summit on the second day of Export Gateway to Africa will provide exhibitors with an opportunity to showcase their products and share their perspectives on the designated summit topics.
